Ukrainian basketball player Ivan Mikhieiev transferred to the Estonian club “Keila”, with whom our team will play in the Latvian-Estonian basketball league.
Mikhieiev's previous club was “Zaporizhzhia”. Ivan scored an average of 5.4 points per game in the Superleague.
"I believe that the experience of playing in the championship of Ukraine will help Ivan in the Latvian-Estonian league. His few weeks at “Keila” have shown that he is a player with good attacking skills who will fit well into the team's forward line. Since Mikhieiev hasn't played since the war started in Ukraine, it will take time for him to gain shape, but he should be ready by the first matches of the season," Keila coach Pip Pakhv commented on the signing.
As a reminder, "Keila" is a debutant of the Latvian-Estonian basketball league in the 2022/2023 season.
