The wins in the home matches over Estonian clubs “Keila KK” and “Tallinn Kalev/Audentes” has brought “Prometey” as close as possible to the victory in the Latvian-Estonian basketball league regular season. Ukrainiane club can make one more step towards reaching one of intermediate goals in its last February’s official match. Before the break for the national teams qualifying games for the World Cup, Ronen Ginzburg’s team will play in Estonian Tartu against the local club “Tartu Ulikool Maks&Moorits”.

The nearest rival of “Prometey” is in the highest position, the fourth, among five teams “red and white” will play with on the first stage. “Tartu Ulikool” currently has 18 wins in 24 matches, which gives an excellent percentage of successful matches – 75%. Ukrainian legionnaire Andrii Voinalovych is having an excellent season in the roster of this team. 23-year-old bigman is the third sniper of the championship with 17.88 points per match. Andrii, as well as his colleagues from “Prometey” Denys Lukashov, Illia Sydorov, Issuf Sanon and Oleksandr Lypovyy, is in the final list of Ukrainian national team’s players. They will get ready for the matches on February 23 and 26 against the teams of Italy and the Netherlands.

Turning back to tomorrow’s game between “Tartu Ulikool” and “Prometey”, it worth to note that our team's opponent approaches the match with a five-match winning streak. This season, however, the club from Tartu defeated only clubs, which are lower in the tournament standings. Tomorrow, “Tartu Ulikool” will try to correct this situation especially since the victory over "Prometey" will give the team a ticket to the play-off regardless of the results of its next matches.
