The penultimate round of the BKT EuroCup regular season first tour prepared a great series of intriguing confrontations for the fans. A clash “Prometey” – “Reyer Venice”, which will be held in Riga, is among them.

At the moment, main aspirations of both teams are related to entering the tournament playoff zone. After 7 matches, they have 3-4 balance and the winner of tomorrow’s confrontation will outpace the opponent in the tournament standings following the results of the 8th round.

Tomorrow’s rival of “Prometey” has started the EuroCup season with three defeats in a row, however, in the next four matches, it significantly improved its tournament situation, suffering just one defeat. The most important wins of “Reyer Venice” were the ones over Spanish “Joventut” and Lithuanian “Vilnius Wolves” – the main competitors of the Italians for the advancing to the playoff zone.

“Prometey” is the opponent of the same kind for”Reyer Venice” after seven rounds. Last season, the teams played two games against each other. In both of them, the Ukrainian club was the strongest one. Their first match, the teams played in Venice within the last round of the first tour. And a bit later, according to the head coach of the “titans”, Ronen Ginzburg, their success in Italy became the starting point for the team’s complete dominating in the second tour of the regular season.

The current situationis mostly similar to the last-year’s one: “Prometey” is searching for its best performance and, perhaps, possible tomorrow’s success might give the team a necessary impact.
