Another EYBL tour the youth of “Prometey” was finishing with two confrontations at once, which were planned for today, December 17. Initially our guys were opposed by “NABA/LKS KM” club from the exotic for European continental basketball Ireland. The day before, a forward of “red and white” Denys Klevzunyk noticed that his team has to compete with the teams of different level in EYBL. Given the fact that within this tour the Irish lost to British “Bracknel Cobras” with the gap of 21 points, there were a lot of doubts whether there would be any intrigue on the court; as on Thursday Oleksandr Pashchenko’s team did not have any problems with them.

However, in the debut of confrontation, Irish club deserved nice words. During almost all starting quarter long, the opponent tried to make a decent fight and they made it. For example, in the battle under the boards, the Irish were not inferior to our guys at all. The representatives of Ukraine reached the mark of “10+” in the second 8-minute segment and doubled their handicap before the long break. At the same time, it was felt that boys did not use a great part of their potential.

In the second part of the game, “red and white” considerably improved their play in defense. In first six and a half minutes they did not allowed the rival to hit the rim at all. “Prometey” calmly led the game to victory. Herewith, the coaching staff used a significant rotation of the line-up: all 15 players took part in the game but no one spent even half of the game time on the court.

At 16:30, with a match with Latvian club “Ridzene”, “Prometey” finishes its game programme in the Latvian EYBL tour.
