Today at 20:30 in the Latvian city of Valka, a control match between "Prometey" and "VEF Basketball Academy of Valka" will take place.

As a reminder, BC “Prometey” together with “VEF Riga” has been caring about basketball academy “VEF Valka” for several months. At the moment, more than 50 students study at the Academy of the city of Valka. More than half of them are Ukrainian basketball players who forcedly left their homes due to the military activities in Ukraine and arrived to Academy by invitation. This is the youth born in 2003-2009 from different parts of our country: these guys used to play basketball in Kharkiv, Vinnytsa, Kyiv, Yuzhne, Dnipro, Cherkasy and Melitopol.

The upcoming match has to become equally useful for both teams. The players of “Prometey” will make another one tiny step towards mastering needed game skills. “VEF basketball academy of Valka”, which is sitting in 6th place in their group of the second division of the Latvian national basketball league (RNBL), will be examined by more experienced guys from “Prometey”.
