During the open training of the "Prometey" basketball team on September 28, we managed to talk to Raimonds Feldmanis. Latvian specialist "Prometey" is responsible for individual work with all team basketball players, developing their skills

"The team is preparing for the new season with great vigor. Of course, there are things that are missing, for example micro-injuries of the players, but the team doctors and physical training coaches are putting in a lot of work at the moment. For the first game of the season, we will be in the best possible readiness," Feldmanis commented on the team's readiness for the season.

The coach hopes for local support in home games:

"I would really hope to see a lot of people in “Arena Riga." Judging by the past season, the basketball players proved themselves as a team that plays quality basketball. I think that with every game more and more spectators will come".

"The team in Riga feels very good. Lots of good feedback from both American and Ukrainian players. They really like it here. A big thanks to the Latvian Basketball Union and the surrounding people, who are responsive and help the club to be based here," said Feldmanis.

The team will play its first game in the 2023./2024. season in the Eurocup at “Arena Riga” on October 4th at 19:00 against “Hamburg”.
