For the  head coach of Prometey Ronen Ginzburg this summer was marked by great victories both in our club and in the Czech national team. Ronen told the club's press service about the achievements of his two teams, one of which became the champion of Ukraine and the other one made it to the Olympics after a 40-year break, as well as about Prometey’s today and the team's hopes for the next season.

- Ronen, we are very glad to welcome you again in "Prometheus"! To start with, I would like to congratulate you on the championship of our team and the successful performance of the Czech national team, primarily in the qualification of the Olympic tournament! You set off to the location of the Czech national team after the victory of "Prometey" in the semifinal series with "Dnipro". I would like you to share your impressions of our team's games with Zaporizhia in the final.

- Thank you! (smiles) I am very happy to be back in Ukraine! I would like to congratulate everyone on the wonderful holiday of the country's independence. This is a very important holiday for all citizens of Ukraine. Your country, like Israel, is a young and beautiful country!
As for the final games, of course, I watched all the matches, worried about every moment, about every point we scored. I was constantly in touch with Milenko, we got prepared for each match together. I would like to congratulate all the fans of "Prometey": we won the championship, which is a great achievement for the club! I am very glad that we achieved our goal, it was wonderful emotions. They are always as if you win something significant.

- Your emotions and feelings in the third game with "Zaporizhzhya", when the team lost 19 points during the match?

- I was very nervous and worried, just broke my computer (laughs) at a time of considerable lag, but I want to say that I knew that my guys have great willpower. I hoped that they were able to return to the game and turn it around. That's how it happened!

- In the summer you lived with the worries of the Czech national team. Are you, like the Czech fans, completely satisfied with its performances in the qualification of the Olympics and at the Olympics itself?

- Of course, I am very proud of my team, happy with what we managed to achieve! The Czech Republic got to the Olympic Games 40 years after the last game at the forum, this is a great achievement for the country! It was very difficult in qualifying. There were various situations, including those related to Covid-19, but we overcame everything and achieved results. We had great games, like with the Canadian team, which has a lot of stars, or with the Greek team. We are all happy with our achievement!

- A few days ago you joined Prometey. Are you satisfied with the current condition of your wards?

- Yes, I am satisfied with the training and condition of the players. Not everything is as it should be, but step by step we gane shape and approach the condition that is necessary to enter the season. Some of the players have minor injuries, but by and large these are trifles.

- In the off-season, the team was replenished by Dmitry Tikhonov and several American legionnaires. Due to what qualities are they able to help "Prometey"?

- All three are great players. We paid attention not only to their skills, but also to their character, sociability, ability to fit the team. We will achieve good results only if everyone helps each other. We made good signatures.

- "Prometey" will participate in the pre-season tournament in Zaporozhye, and in a week in the "Prometey" Cup. What would you like to see in the team's performance in the terms of game at this stage of preparation?

- These are important pre-season tournaments that will help reach the required degree of readiness. All the guys will get approximately equal playing time there. It is important that they can get in good shape this way.
