“Prometey” head coach Ronen Ginzburg commented on the difficult win over “Cedevita-Olimpija” in the EuroCup match.

- First of all, it was a very important win for us because we could not allow ourself to lose this game. We were speaking with players all the week that even though this team is in the last place, they have good players, even if they miss a lot of players. We spoke-spoke-spoke but  did not come out with the right energy they should come out with.

All the respect to “Cedevita”, they played good basketball. But we also helped them. We are happy that within last 2-3 minutes we improved our defence ans won this game. Like I said, a win is a win. We need to be happy but we have things to work on.

- In the first half, the opponents scored 55 points, what can you say about defence?

- There was no defence. It was like the Summer league in the first half. It feels like the NBA as in the NBA they don’t play defence. Like I said, we were not ready, but then we fixed the defence and the situation in general.

- Could you tell us, when we can expect the comeback of DJ Kennedy on the court?

- Like for Clavell, it took time and I am happy, now he plays well. Kennedy will start playing in the Latvian-Estonian league and I believe, by the next game, which is in two weeks, he will be ready. I hope so.
