“Prometey” head coach Ronen Ginzburg's comments on the eve of two friendly games in Turkey.

- Ronen, "Prometey" will play two matches here in Izmir. What tasks do you set for the team in Turkey?

-Tomorrow, you know, will be our second game together. The task is, first of all, to do well what we prepared at three - four previous training sessions, where we worked together. And we have to play the best defence that we can, to play fast game. But, of course, we have a lot of work.

- In Turkey, we will play with two local teams. The first opponent will be the Euroleague team “Fenerbahce”. How important is it to test yourself against such a strong opponent before the Eurocup matches?

- The thing is, it is not our ambitions to play with "Fenerbahce" an not even with "Karsiyaka", this was the situation. It is a little bit early for us to play against this kind of two teams. But it’s not up to us. We need to start somewhere. We had to play control matches. However, we didn't have a lot of options to choose an opponent at this time. So, this time we have these teams to play with. For sure, they are very strong, especially “Fener”, but also “Karshiyaka”. However, we need to focus on ourselves, first of all. These games, whether good or bad, are not of our level. For sure, we will play much better in the future, but now we need to start somewhere.

 
-Issouf Sanon did not play against “Ventspils”. Is everyone ready to play now?

- Yes, everybody is ready. I will split the game minutes between all of them. After all, the players are tired at the beginning, after off-season trainings. I am happy that Issuf can finally play with us.

- The team was preparing without you and without National team players. Will this not be a problem during the pre-season preparation?

- We knew this long before, since the game calendar is known in advance. It will take, I believe, three or four weeks to be in the best shape. At the same time, I believe that until the first game in EuroCup, we will be ready.
