Comment by the head coach of BC “Prometey” Ronen Ginzburg on the eve of the match against “Cedevita Olimpija”.
-Coach, our next opponent “Cedevita Olimpija” is not as high in the tournament standings as the previous ones – “Joventut” or “Bursaspor”. But anyway, what is the strength of this team? What should you pay attention to in particular?
-“Olimpija”, until now, did not show their performance. They are, of course, one of the most expensive teams on this competition. And they are one of the best offensive teams at the EuroCup. They have really good offensive players, especially Josh Adams and Yogi Ferrell, So, they are good offensive team. They are still fighting on their position to make to the play-off and they can be surprising because they can make it to the play-off as they have a lot of weapons.
-Before our first game against “Cedevita Olimpija”, their head coach said that their main task was to stop your fast breaks. In that match, as it’s known, we won. Are they able to cope with their task? Could somebody stop “Ptometey” in their fast play?
-For sure. We are not “Lakers”. Anyone can stop “Prometey”. But everything depends on us. The first people who can stop “Prometey” –it’s us. So, first of all we need to concentrate on ourselves. We need to improve the defense in the match against “Olimpija”.
-Coach, you might have seen photos or videos with a huge number of Ukrainian flags at “Zalgiris Arena”. Do you expect for support for "Prometey" at “Zalgiris arena”?
-Yes, I hope! I hope for support as every flag, every Ukrainian person who come and support us, as well as Lithuanian people will be great because this give us a lot of motivation.
