Comment by the head coach of “Prometey” Ronen Ginzburg after the EuroCup game against BC “Lietkabelis Panevezys”.

-I respect “Lietkabelis” team. It’s really good team with a very good coach. It’s really hard to play at the home arena of “Lietkabelis”. Lithuanians won all home matches except the match against “Joventut”. We started the game not very well, especially in defense. However, our team has a character and we demonstrated this not for the first time, we came back into the game. During the most part of the match, we did a good job in defense. In offense, actually, we scored that number of points that was needed for the victory. I am happy that we won.

-It was your second game against “Lietkabelis”. How it was different from the first one?

-I think, the opponents played more confident today. They started the game more confidently. There were some young players and they played better today. “Lietkabelis” is not a team of individuals; they are strong as a team, as a group of players, which we needed to stop. And we managed to do this during the game.

-There are two Lithuanian specialists in your coaching staff. Did their help make easier to get ready to this game?

-For sure. All along this season, two Mantases are doing a great job. For instance, before the battle against “Lietkabelis” they gave me a lot of details. I even said, “that’s already enough” (smiling). But I am happy, as they do a good job with me, help the team. I am happy for the team and for them.
