Ronen Ginzburg: "We are going to face one of the hottest team in Europe"

Ронен Гінзбург: "Ми зустрінемося з однією з найсильніших команд Європи"

The head coach of “Prometey” Ronen Ginzburg conversed with the club press-service on the eve of the EuroCup game that will take place on October 26 at 19:00 at Arena Riga against the Turkish clun “Bursaspor”.

-To start with, I would like to ask you about the game in Italy against “Brescia”. What did not work there? Is it possible to put these moments right in a week term?

-I hope so. What did not work? Almost everything did not work in that game. Only in the first half, we played okay, but our defense was very bad and in the offense we had problems with their pressure. We worked on it this week, so hope, we will solve it.

-On Saturday, “Prometey” had the most difficult game so far in the Ltvian-Estonian league. Could we say that the test before the EuroCup game was successful?

-You know, when you come on Wednesday from the game in Italy and, on Saturday, you come for the game in this league to Estonia… I think players were not so focused in the game; they were tired and made mistakes. It can’t be a good preparation for us. It’s a different level, different type of the game from the one that we are going to face on Wednesday, October 26.

-“Bursaspor” has two victories in the EuroCup with identical score. Yesterday, they beat the Euroleague champion in the Turkish league. What can you say about our next opponent? What do you expect from the game?

-We are going to face one of the hottest teams right now in Europe. They did not lose; they beat “Badalona”, who is one of the favourites for winning the Euroleague. They beat “Anadolu”, one of the Euroleague teams. They are really great and amazing team. It will be really challenging for us, but, you know, we have our power and if we come with the right attitude, we can make them a tough game. If they played this season in Euroleague, they would be in the TOP 5-6-7 of the Euroleague, so, for us, it is a big-big challenge. So, let’s see.
