As it became known from the official letter of the EuroCup organisators, “Prometey” is included to this tournament for the second season in a row. “Hapoel Tel Aviv” (Israel), “Joventut”, “Gran Canaria” (both Spain), “Cedevita Olimpija” (Slovenia), “Reyer Venice”, “Trento” (both Italy), “Besiktas”, “Turk Telekom” (both Turkey), “Lietkabelis”, “Wolves” (both Litva), “Aris” (Greece), “Bourg”, “Paris” (both France), “Ratiopharm Ulm”, “Hamburg” (both Germany), “Slask Wroclaw” (Poland), “Cluj-Napoca” (Romania), “London Lions” (Great Britain), “Buducnost” (Montenegro) are also in the line-up of the tournament.

The EuroCup format has undergone some changes. Again, 20 teams will be devided into 2 groups, but this time, only 6 best teams from each group will advance to the playoffs. Herewith, 1-2 places will fight for the trophy from the quarterfinals and the rest of the teams – from 1/8.

From this season on, the winners of the semi-final and final stages will be determined in a best-of-three format (up to two wins). The eighthfinals and quarterfinals, as it was before, will remain single-elimination games.
