The official FIBA website has published a preliminary roster of Ukrainian national basketball team for the qualification matches of the World Cup 2023.

Among 23 players, there are six players of BC “Prometey”: Denys Lukashov, Oleksandr Lypovyy, Viacheslav Petrov, Issuf Sanon, Illia Sydorov and Ivan Tkachenko.

As a reminder, on February 23, Ukrainian national basketball team will play a road match against Italian team in Livirno. On February 26, they will host the Netherlands in Riga.

To enter the World Cup, Ukraine needs to attain two wins and wait for favourable results in other matches.
