Tomorrow, on November 6, two men's teams of Prometey will start their performances in the next draw of the Cup of Ukraine. The base composition of our team will go to Lutsk, where they will meet with the local team "Staryy Lutsk-University". Last season, Lutsk took 2nd place in their group of the High League, and at the stage of the 1/8 finals of the playoffs in three matches were stronger than "Prometey-2-DDTU", and our youth team "took" the first match in Lutsk. As a result, the championship of the High League 2020/2021 "Staryy Lutsk-University" finished in 4th place. The team reached the semifinals of the tournament, where they lost in five matches to Odessa BIP, and in the series for the third place they lost to Kryvbas.

The upcoming performance of Prometey in the Ukrainian Cup will be their fourth in the club's history. In this tournament, the "red and whites" have something to strive for: so far they have never reached even the semifinals. Last season, they stayed one step closer to the semifinals, losing in Kyiv to the capital's "Budivelnyk".

Prometey is considered to be the favorite of the future confrontation, and at the same time obvious: the teams are now just on different levels of the basketball hierarchy. However, "Staryy Lutsk-University" will perform in front of their own audience and will probably want to show them the best qualities.

Our second club team "Prometey-2" will play in the Dnipro KSK "Shinnyk" with "Dnipro-2-DVUFK SDYSSOR N5". Last weekend, the teams played two tense matches in the High League championship, each one succeeded only once, at the same time satisfying those fans who closely monitor the performances of reserve teams of clubs - geographical neighbors.
