Prometey youth born in 2010 played two matches at once within one game day at the tournament in memory of Oleksii Veremeichyk. Their first match, young Prometey players played against the hosts of the court from CCYSS-1 (Lutsk) just 40 minutes after arriving in Lutsk. The hosting team started the game briskly, mostly leading in score in the first half of the match. Their player Selivanov hit 4 out of 4(!) three-pointers. The teams went for the long break with “+8” in favour of CCYSS-1. In the second half, “titans” drastically changed the game flow and snatched the deserved win with a score of 62:55.
The second match, against BC Ploskyriv, turned out to be even more dramatic. Prometey youth coped to resolve the issue about the match winner only shortly before the final buzzer. Thanks to the active play of the entire team in the decisive minutes, two players of Ploskyriv left the court before the full time due to 5 fouls. Young “titans” used this moment, and, which is more important, due to their great teamwork and the last season experience of playing in crucial situations, they defeated the opponent with a score of 53:49.
Tomorrow, on September 24, in the final tournament match, Prometey will play against BC Uzghorod.
