The Ukrainian men's National basketball team is in fifth place in Group L of the selection for the 2023 World Cup after the matches on August 27. This is reported on the website of the Basketball Federation of Ukraine.

In our group, the Ukrainian national team lost in overtime to Iceland 91:88, Georgia lost to Italy 84:91, and Spain defeated the Netherlands 86:64.

Thus, the Spaniards and Italians lead our group with 5 wins in six matches, Iceland with four wins, Georgia with three wins. We have one victory over Georgia in the asset (victory over North Macedonia in the first stage is not taken into account), and the Netherlands team remains an outsider.

The top three teams from each group will be qualified for the World Cup.

In the next round, on November 11, Ukraine will play the away match with the Netherlands, Iceland will host Georgia, and Italy will host Spain in the group leaders match.
