Most of the European National teams have already played all scheduled friendly matches in preparation for EuroBasket 2022, so the FIBA website has updated the National team strength rating.

 

The editors note that the last update will be based on the selection matches for the 2023 World Cup after the start of the European Championship.

 

In the updated rating of the National team of Ukraine, is in 18 positions with 24 teams - this is one position higher than in the prvious publication.

 

Our team played four friendly games, beating Poland, but losing to Slovenia, Turkey and Finland in overtime.

 

It is worth noting that the opponents of Ainars Bagatskis' team in the groups - Estonia and Great Britain - are ranked lower, so according to FIBA's forecasts, the Ukrainian National team should go to the playoffs.

Among the three favourites of the European Championship, there is the Greek National team, where Yannis Antetokounmpo should become a striking force. France is the second one, and the first place in the author's rating continues to be given to the current European champions, the Slovenians.

The European Championship will be held in four countries from September 1 to 18. Ukraine will play in Group C in Milan. Our team's first match is against Great Britain on September 2.
