The Ukrainian men's basketball team is in fifth place in Group L of the selection for the 2023 World Cup after the matches on August 24. This is reported by the website of the Basketball Federation of Ukraine.

In our group, the Ukrainian National team lost to Italy (89:97), Georgia obtained a victory over the Netherlands (77:66), and Iceland lost to Spain (57:87).

Thus, the Spaniards and Italians lead our group with 4 wins in five matches, Iceland and Georgia have three victories each, we have only one victory over Georgia (victories over North Macedonia in the first stage are not taken into account), and the team of the Netherlands remains an outsider.

The top three teams from each group will qualify for the World Cup.

In the next round, on August 27, Ukraine will play the road match against Iceland, Italy will host Georgia, and Spain will play against the Netherlands.
