Prometey finishet its third game week in the Latvian-Estonian league with a match against Estonian club Rapla. There was no doubt that this match is going to be more like previous matches in the league than the last confrontation of the “titans” in Istanbul – there is a huge difference in class between the opponents in these tournaments.
That was the case. Prometey had no problem at all today. Already in the first five minute, handicap of Ronen Ginzburg’s squad reached the mark of “10+” after Ivan Tkachenko aced a three-pointer (16:5). The next five-minute segment doubled this advantage.
Exactly starting quarter decided the result of this duel in Prometey’s favour. It cannot be said that our team was fiering. For instance, during the first 20 minutes, percentage of accuracy in three-pointers was 23 and there was no increasing. After the long break, “titans” even allowed opponents to take the third quarter but it was impossible to imagine that Rapla got a chance to win the match.
During the final quarter, the rival cut its lag to 13 points, however, at the end of confrontation, Prometey “calmed them down” and gained a win with a resulting score of 90:66.
Next Wednesday, on October 18, our team will play a home BKT EuroCup match against London Lions, Great Britain.
