The men’s National team of Ukraine has played in Istanbul its first match of the Olympic pre-qualification first round. Our team has taken a step towards the semi-final of the tournament defeating Bulgarian team in overtime with a score of 80:71.

“Prometey” players Andrii Voinalovych and Viacheslav Petrov participated in the confrontation. They both appeared in the starting five of Ukrainian team. Viacheslav scored 5 points + 10 rebounds + 6 assists + 1 steal. At the end of the regular time, “Prometey” bigman became the author of a fruitful assist to Viacheslav Kravtsov, which led to overtime but, herewith, got an injury. Andrii scored 7 points + 6 rebounds + 1 assist.
 

Already tomorrow, on August 13 at 18:00, Ukrainian team is playing its second pre-qualification match. The rival is the National team of Iceland, which will oppose to Turkish National team in another match of Group C.
