The last game day of the Ukrainian championship first tour among the High league teams started with the central match of the entire tournament distance “Sambir” – “Prometey”.
Overall, the match met all fans’ expectations. Despite its early start, the opponents were demonstrating dynamic and high-quality basketball from the very first seconds. In such game, the “titans” were still better. Thanks to its two runs, in the middle of the first quarter and in the debut of the second one, they reached the first more or less comfortable advantage of 14 points (35:21). Dmytro Kleban and Denys Klevzunyk recorded in their asset 11 points each within 13 game minutes. Dmytro Kleban was equally successful in attacking the rival’s hoop from both three-second zone and long-range distance. Before the long break, Dmytro together with his teammates increased their handicap by two more points – 51:35.
A mighty run 20:2 by Oleksandr Pashchenko’s squad in the first minutes of the third quarter, removed all questions about the winner not only in this confrontation but also in the entire first tour.
The final score of 101:68 in favour of “Prometey” became the evidence of their full dominating on the floor.
Dmytro Kleban had just an amazing match: 27 points (5 of 6 thjree-pointers) and 37 points of the efficiency rating. Mykyta Bezyma had double-double: 12 points + 12 rebounds.
