A team of basketball school “Prometey” of born in 2010 sat in second place at the tournament in memory of Oleksii Veremeichyk in Lutsk.

In the final match, Prometey youth lost to the current AUBL champion BC Uzhhorod with a score of 79:98. In the first half of the match, Prometey players were leading in score most of the time, however, missed the ball in the last offence – 45:46. In the third quarter, Uzhhorod made a mighty jerk and led in score bringing the match to victory in the final 10-minute segment.

“We will adjust and work on our mistakes. The season has not started yet. We will play against Uzhhorod in the AUBL” – the coach Ruslan Oryshchuk commented on the team’s performance at the tournament.

The coach also noted, that boys carefully watched the game and rooted for the older team of BC Prometey, which became the winner of the tournament in memory of O. Veremeichyk today defeating Kyiv-Basket.

It is worth noting that three team’s players were nominated for individual awards.
Makar Konovnitsen was named the best team’s player, Rodion Tymchenko was the best tournament center and Illia Serdiuk – the best tournament forward.
