On November 18, Ukrainian “Prometey” has played a match of the “Latvian-Estonian league against “Parnu Sadam”. Ronen Ginzburg’s team managed to gain a road win with a score of 80:49.
The “titans” started the match not in the best way, for the certain time, they were behind in score and went for the first break with a slight advantage “+1” (17:16). Instead, in the second ten-minute segment, the team from Ukraine stepped up considerably – it allowed “Parnu” to score just 8 points recording 20 in the own asset and securing a comfortable advantage. Ronen Ginzburg’s timeout 27 second to go in the second quarter turned out to be especially successful – after that, “Prometey” scored four points in a row without missing a single one.
In the second half, the “red-and-white” kept developing their success – they won both the third and fourth quarters and gained a very confident victory.
It worth noting that the American guard Rob Gray has played his debut match for “Prometey” today and straight away became the most productive player of the match. There are 17 points and three rebounds in his asset.
For “Prometey”, this win is the seventh one in the eight LEBL matches of the season. Only “Kalev” is still undefeated in the tournament (8-0) and is ahead of the “titans” in the tournament standings.
In the near future, the “red-and-white” will play the EuroCup match against “Venice” (on November 22) and next Saturday, (on November 25) will clash in the central match of the entire first LEBL tour against “Kalev”.
