"Prometey" won in the match against "Riga Zelli" breaking a 3-match defeating streak

Today, on November 10, “Ptometey” hosted the debutant of the Latvian-Estonian league BC “Riga Zelli” in another match of this tournament regular championship. Ukrainian club managed to win with a score of 92:79.

In the “titans’” application for this match, there were 10 basketball players. Markus Keene, Rashard Kelly, Viacheslav Petrov and Andriy Voinalovych did not get in the list of those who can participate in this match.

“Riga Zelli’s” players started the first quarter more briskly and finished it in their favour – 18:16. In the second 10-minute segment, “Prometey” considerably stepped up and made several successful runs, however, lost almost all marge before the end of the half having just “+2” before the long break.

In the third quarter, the “titans’” center Tai Odiase was especially active and in addition to his 9 points in the first half, scored another 11 in the third quarter and helped “Prometey” to gain a foothold in a status of the leader. Ondrej Balvin had an opportunity to cap the quarter with a spectacular three-point buzzer, but failed to throw the ball in time. Therefore, the teams came out for the final quarter with just “+3” in favour of the “red-and-white”.

Ronen Ginzburg’s team started this segment with a 10:1 run. It secured the Ukrainian team a comfortable advantage. They managed not only to keep it but even to increase by the final siren. The resulting score is 92:78.

Ronald March became the best player of this match with his 20 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 4 steals. His efficiency rating was 34.

“Prometey”, who gained its sixth win in the seven LEBL matches, will play its next match also a t home – on November 14, Ginzburg’s team hosts “Hapoel” from Tel Aviv within the EuroCup. Next Saturday, on November 18, the “red-and-white” await a road LEBL match against “Parnu Sadam”.
